As a transplant from the Bay Area, we came here to raise our children in this wonderful environment filled with natural beauty, plenty of outdoor activities and excellent schools, second only to Marin County in California.
These two gold mining towns have such a fascinating story to tell, rich in history. As a mecca for the Arts, Cultural Events, and lively entertainment, there is never a dull moment here, as there is always something interesting going on. Hiking in the mountains, walking by a stream, or fishing in one of our many nearby lakes is just outside your door. Ski resorts are an hour away and you can reach San Francisco in less than two.
